When the session is not yours, stand down

News, expiry and thin books are not opportunity. They are noise until they settle.

When the session is not yours, stand down

Some sessions print fast wicks that have nothing to do with your swing map: event risk, expiry, or a thin book. A planned level can tag and reverse before you finish writing the ticket.

Classroom filter: if you cannot name the session risk in one sentence, you are late. Reduce size or stay flat. Chasing the first spike is not a trigger — it is a reaction.

After the event, wait for a close back into your area or a failed break that you can defend. The chart will still be there. Your risk unit may not.

No timestamps here are a call to trade. This is how we teach standing down. Not investment advice.
